Biography

Monica Medina is an associate in the firm's entertainment department. Her practice encompasses a wide range of transactional matters in music, television, new media, and live entertainment.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Medina represented Latin musicians, producers, composers, actors, writers, and directors, and served as Senior Counsel at Caracol Television by leading the legal production department and handling the legal matters of the international sales department.

Ms. Medina obtained her Master of Law (LL.M) degree from UCLA School of Law with a specialization in Media, Entertainment & Technology Law and Policy. At UCLA School of Law, she served as member of the Dean's Student Advisory Council. Ms. Medina later completed a certificate program in Business and Management of the Entertainment Industry at UCLA Extension. While attending UCLA School of Law, Ms. Medina worked as a legal extern at Escape Artists oft Sony Pictures Entertainment and with the UCLA Trademark Clinic, providing pro bono legal services to California residents by filing trademark applications before the USPTO. Ms. Medina earned her undergraduate degree from University of Los Andes, in Bogota Colombia with a published undergraduate thesis on music recording agreements.
