Marjorie Garcia

Marjorie Garcia is a partner in the Entertainment Transactions department of the firm, where she represents a diverse range of clients across the music and entertainment industries. Her practice focuses on the negotiation and drafting of complex agreements, including recording, publishing, sponsorship, branding, product endorsement and integration, catalog acquisitions, merchandising, and live performance contracts.

With more than 20 years of experience in entertainment law, Ms. Garcia brings a comprehensive understanding of both domestic and international markets. She has advised recording artists, songwriters, producers, independent labels, and entertainment companies in navigating the evolving legal and business landscape of the music industry. Her strategic counsel and advocacy have contributed to the development of successful careers and long-term business growth for her clients.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Garcia served as legal counsel in the Business and Legal Affairs department at Universal Music Group, where she supported operations in the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, and Spain. In that role, she was responsible for legal review and risk assessment related to intellectual property, licensing, marketing, and content production.

Ms. Garcia is a frequent speaker on entertainment law and has been recognized by Billboard and Variety magazines as a leading music attorney. She is admitted to the California Bar and holds a J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law.
