Biography

Brigitte Alanís is a Partner in the firm's entertainment department. She serves as trusted advisor to both established and emerging artists, creators, and executives in the music industry.

Ms. Alanís specializes in strategic negotiation and execution of broad range of agreements and matters including recording agreements, publishing agreements, management agreements, touring, merchandising, endorsements, catalog sales, brand building, joint ventures and various other transactions. Ms. Alanís provides comprehensive counsel across all facets of her clients’ careers, helping them to achieve their goals by assertively advocating for their interests and supporting their creative visions.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Alanís represented actors, writers, directors, and content creators in the Entertainment and Digital Media practice groups at Weintraub Tobin Chediak Coleman Grodin Law Corporation. Ms. Alanís graduated from UCLA School of Law with a specialization in Media, Entertainment & Technology Law and Policy, and served as president of the Entertainment Law Association. While in law school Ms. Alanís helped develop the UCLA Music Industry Clinic which provides free legal services to qualifying Los Angeles area musicians. Ms. Alanís earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University where she graduated cum laude with majors in Political Science and Visual Media Studies.
