Biography
Brigitte Alanis is an associate in the firm's entertainment department and counsels recording artists, songwriters, managers, digital creators, and influencers in all aspects of their entertainment careers. Her practice encompasses a wide range of transactional matters in recorded music, live performance, catalog sales, digital media, branding, and endorsements.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Alanis represented actors, writers, directors, and content creators in the Entertainment and Digital Media practice groups at Weintraub Tobin Chediak Coleman Grodin Law Corporation.
Ms. Alanis graduated from UCLA School of Law with a specialization in Media, Entertainment & Technology Law and Policy, and served as president of the Entertainment Law Association. Ms. Alanis also helped develop and participated in the inaugural class of the UCLA Music Industry Clinic, which provides free legal services to qualifying Los Angeles area musicians. While in law school, Ms. Alanis worked as a legal extern at Universal Music Enterprises, Warner/Chappell, WAV Media, and Global Music Rights. Ms. Alanis earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University where she graduated cum laude with majors in Political Science and Visual Media Studies.
