Charles W. Hamilton is a partner in the firm's entertainment transactions department, specializing in the music industry. He represents creatives, executives, legacy companies and startups at the intersection of music, emerging technologies and branding, with an emphasis on deal negotiation, audits and business guidance.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Hamilton was Head of Business & Legal Affairs at Saban Music Group, a vertically integrated music company; before that, he was Senior Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs at Warner Records, where he negotiated recording agreements, joint venture label deals and brand partnerships. Raised on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Mr. Hamilton also offers legal and business advice to Caribbean and continental African musical artists and music entrepreneurs.

Mr. Hamilton is a writer and presenter on issues of music and social justice, most avidly as a board member of REDEEMED, which pairs creative writers with lawyers to advocate for clemency and records-clearance for the formerly incarcerated. Mr. Hamilton is also a member of the Entertainment Law Committee of the Langston Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
