Seth Miller is a partner of King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano, whose practice specialty is business litigation, with an emphasis on copyright, trademark, right of publicity, and contract disputes in the music, film, and television industries. Mr. Miller’s experience includes state and federal court jury trials, arbitrations, mediations, bankruptcy claims, and overseeing litigation overseas on behalf of U.S. clients in countries including Mexico, Spain, England, and Japan.

Mr. Miller is a former professional musician who has an in-depth knowledge of music as it pertains to issues of copyright infringement. He is also a former story analyst for production companies and talent agencies and has extensive experience litigating disputes in the film and entertainment industry arising out of production, financing, and distribution contracts. In addition to his entertainment practice, Mr. Miller has litigated a wide range of business disputes, including arising out of real estate transactions and disputes between banks and their customers or borrowers.

Mr. Miller has represented artists, composers, record companies, publishers, managers, advertising agencies, merchandisers, and distributors in a wide variety of contract, tort, and intellectual property disputes, including the prosecution and defense of claims for infringement of copyright, trademark, and rights of publicity, breach of contract, and disputes between band members. He is well-versed in all aspects of state and federal litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trials, appeals, and provisional remedies such as preliminary injunctions and attachments.
