Leslie Frank is a partner of King, Holmes, Paterno & Soriano. She represents entertainment industry clients that include recording artists, songwriters, record producers, record labels, online music services, screenwriters, playwrights, actors, music supervisors, radio DJs and celebrity endorsers. She negotiates contracts of all kinds and has studied and debated copyright policy issues and business models in the digital arena since the Metallica v. Napster lawsuit in 2000, for which she was a member of the plaintiff’s legal team.

Ms. Frank has negotiated contracts and settled disputes on behalf of clients that include:

Metallica, Dr. Dre, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Skrillex, Zedd, Steve Aoki, Blink-182, The Offspring, Helen Fielding (author of Bridget Jones’ Diary).

Ms. Frank has had articles published in the UC Davis School of Law Business Law Journal and American Music Press (San Francisco). She also participates in symposia, seminar panels and speaking engagements regarding copyright law and entertainment transaction issues, including appearances at the UC Davis School of Law, South by Southwest, CMJ Music Marathon and ASCAP Expo.
