Following the unexpected and tragic passing of Prince, The New York Times quotes Howard King in their April 26, 2016 story describing the consequences if it is determined that Prince died without a will or other estate plan. As reported by the Times, “it could be a huge tragedy,” said Howard E. King, a veteran entertainment lawyer in Los Angeles who represented Prince in the past. “You could have a difference in valuation of hundred of millions of dollars depending on whether the right people get in there to manage the legacy of Prince.”
